Paper & Aluminum Cans Recycling

Recycling Locations:

AVFD has a recycling trailer on our premise. It is conveniently  located at the entrance to our parking lot. This is a fundraising effort as well as a public service effort. You are kindly requested to bring your Aluminum cans and Paper for recycling. The can trailer and paper bins will be emptied on a regular basis.

Thank you for your continued support for your local fire department

Events and Services

The AVFD has been serving the citizens of Arbutus and the surrounding area since 1938.  Information on our inception, founding fathers, and evolution over the years can be found in the HISTORY SECTION.

Donating your old car to AVFD

If interested please contact our station @ (410) 242-6601 or sent us an email to info(at)arbutusvfd.org. You can also bring your vehicle to the station, park it under the billboard on the north lot, sign the title over to the AVFD, and drop off the keys and title. One of our members will be able to assist you with the paper work.

Please make sure we have your correct name and address so we can mail you a letter stating that you have donated the vehicle to AVFD. Of course, any donation to our department is TAX DEDUCTIBLE.

Donating your old house for training

If you intend to have your old house demolished or reconstructed, we would love to do some of the demolition work for you. We would like to arrange for some real life training scenarios. Training would include, Search and Rescue, Roof Operations, Overhauling Laddering, Ventilation etc. This is to ensure that our members are up to date on their skills.

Please contact us at info(at)arbutusvfd.org if you are interested. Thank you for supporting your local volunteers. Of course, any donation to our department is TAX DEDUCTIBLE.
