Support your Volunteer Fire Department
Dear Community Supporter, March, 2024
This year Your Volunteer Fire Department is beginning its 86th year of service to the communities of and around Arbutus, Catonsville, & Halethorpe. As one of the busiest volunteer companies in Baltimore County, we continue to average over 5,000 calls a year for Emergency Medical Services, Fire, Rescue and Swift Water Rescue calls for services including ATV responses. We look forward to continuing to provide the services you expect and deserve as well as visit area schools to educate our most precious resource, our children, in fire prevention and safety at home and in school. We host a variety of events at the station that are open to the public and they are listed on our website that is regularly updated.
We understand that you have many choices in supporting various volunteer organizations; therefore, we want to assure you that your Volunteer Fire Department continues to provide the best service for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your support last year allowed us to set funds aside toward what is needed for the purchase of a new Pierce Fire Engine that has been ordered and a new medic unit also set for deliver next year, for that we say Thank You!
This letter and fund-raising campaign are our primary request to you for direct assistance. Other than our photo fund drive which is typically held in the fall we do not reach out to you directly at any other time of the year. As with other volunteer fire companies in Baltimore County, we DO NOT conduct telephone solicitations at any time. This request is handled by our department internally which enables us to receive 100% of your donation directly to the department. We ask that you check if your employer offers matching donations for employees who donate to charitable organizations and let them know that you donated to the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department.
